Public urged to wear face masks as Covid cases rise in Sri Lanka
The public have been urged to wear face masks as Covid cases have recorded a rise in Sri Lanka once again.
The Health Ministry has advised the public to wear face masks indoors, when travelling in public transport and at public gatherings.
Wearing face masks indoors and outdoors was not made mandatory with effect from 10th June.
However, that those suffering from respiratory conditions were encouraged to wear masks and be socially responsible.
COVID-19 PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were also not carried out as a screening test. (Colombo Gazette)
