The government’s efforts to suppress political dissent, violently, will spare none, says the JVP.

JVP Propaganda Secretary, MP Vijitha Herath, addressing the media, on Saturday, said: “We must unite, overlooking our political differences and join forces against suppression. Otherwise, all of us will have to suffer.  All trade unions, civil and religious organisations must unite and seek the assistance of international human rights organisations to out the dictatorial government.”

Herath said that people has risen against the government because it was a kleptocracy. “At the helm of the government is a person involved in the Treasury bond scams. The Cabinet is full of undesirables. One of them was recently found guilty, by a Court of law, for ransom taking, and given a suspended sentence. Today, all the thieves have come together to rob the country. The government has launched psychological operations.
