Sri Lanka sells Rs80bn in mostly 3-month bills, down 18bp

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 80 billion rupees of Treasury bills with most in 3-month securities at the bill auction on September 14 with the yields easing across maturities, data from the state debt office showed.

The debt office sold 78 billion rupees of 3-month bills at 32.71 percent down 18 basis points after offering 35 billion rupees.

Only 523 million rupees of 6-month bills were sold at 30.28 percent down 46 basis points after offering 25 billion rupees.

From the 12-month bills only 596 million rupees were sold after offering 20 billion rupees at 30.26 percent down 24 basis points.
