Non-essential, non-urgent surgeries postponed
Non-essential and non-urgent surgeries have been temporarily postponed at Government hospitals, the Health Ministry said.
Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella said that the surgeries will be postponed on the advise of a doctor.
The Minister said that essential and urgent surgeries will be carried out as usual.
The decision has been taken due to a shortage in medical supplies in Sri Lanka.
The shortage has been caused owing to the economic crisis. (Colombo Gazette)
