The Sri Lanka Cricket Major Clubs Tournament 2023 that took off last week saw SSC defeat Kurunegala YCC by 8 runs in a low scoring game at the P. Saravanamuththu Stadium while Tamil Union beat Badureliya SC by 24 runs at the SSC Grounds, Sebastianites got the better of Nugegoda SC by 7 wickets at the P. Saravanamuththu Stadium, BRC defeated Negombo CC by 53 runs, Bloomfield beat Ragama CC by 4 wickets at SSC Grounds  and Air Force SC thrashed Police SC by 4 wickets at Panagoda.
