Crocs relocated before kovil festival

Wildlife officials, on Wednesday (02), relocated four large crocodiles living in a tank at the Selva Sannithi Murugan Temple, Jaffna.Devotees complained that these crocodiles had tried to attack them while they were bathing in the tank.
It is a local tradition for devotees to the kovil to bathe in the tank, and the annual kovil festival is scheduled to commence next week.Wildlife officials claim that kovil trustees had expressed concern that the crocodiles might attack devotees during the festival.
