Police team off to Dubai to bring back SL criminals

The CID is to send a team of officers to Dubai in the coming days to facilitate the extradition of Uragaha Michael and several other underworld members who have recently been arrested in Dubai.

Seven Sri Lankan underworld figures were arrested in Dubai on 21 February following a nightclub brawl.The team will be led by an ASP attached to the CID.

However, Dubai police had not informed Sri Lanka by Thursday evening (22), that the above-mentioned criminals were arrested. The Sri Lankan police will discuss the matter with Dubai police and Interpol.
