Sri Lankan star batsman Kumar Sangakkara is likely to miss four to six weeks of cricket after fracturing his finger during the third ODI against India played in Colombo yesterday.
Sangakkara was injured following an Ashok Dinda bouncer stuck the batsman’s finger.
Despite the injury Sangakkara went onto score 73 runs to help Lankans pose a formidable score of 280 plus runs.
If Sangakkara has to stay out of cricket for a period of four to six weeks, it means he will lose the remaining games against India and also the non participation in the ‘SLPL”.
Sangakkara is the captain of the Kandurata team.
