Navy rescue stranded asylum seekers

Sri Lanka Navy today rescued 28 persons from an asylum seeker boat in trouble, which had attempted to flee to Australia. The vessel had suffered a mechanical failure around 300 nautical miles away from land, navy spokesman said.
