Court warns UNP members

The Court has warned a UNP Provincial Councillor and a Local Government member to refrain from obstructing activities of Police Officers and permit them to discharge their duties.

Galle Chief Magistrate U.S. Kalansuriya gave this warning to United National Party Southern Provincial Councillor Chrishantha Pushpakumara and member of the Bope Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha Amila Nuwan who were remanded on allegations of obstructing the duties of Police Officers. They were accused of obstructing the duties of the Officers and creating a fear psychosis in them.
