Sri Lanka names squad for World T20, includes new found mystery spinner

Sri Lanka has included new found mystery spinner Akila Dhananjaya and hard hitting batsman Dilshan Munaweera in the 15 member squad named for the upcoming T20 world cup.

The selectors have also recalled spinner Ajantha Mendis to the squad.

Spinner Akila Dhananjaya, a name which was not known in the Lankan cricketing scene few months ago has only played few first class games.

However, his impressive performances in the ongoing SLPL, where Dhananjaya plays for Wayamba franchise, probably would have given him the nod ahead of several tested spinners.

Meanwhile, Dilshan Munaweera who is for the first time included in the national team is an explosive opener and has shown his potential in the ongoing SLPL.
