Student-friendly school projects
Mahindodaya programme and the student-friendly school projects that equip the children to face the modern world are successfully being carried out.
A new three storied building will be provided to the Wekada government school under the Mahindodaya school development project. The constructions were launched under the patronage of Senior Minister Milroy Fernando.
The secondary school development programme of the Madakumbura Maha Vidyalaya in Karandeniya was launched by Minister Gunaratne Weerakoon under the theme ‘ the best for the children’. The construction of a two storied building for a technology laboratory was launched. A play ground was vested in the students under the student-friendly school project.
Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna handed over the children’s playground, medicinal herb garden and other facilities built at the Wilimbula junior school in Malwathuhiripitiya to the students. The Ministry of Economic Development has provided 500,000 rupees for the improvement of facilities in the school.
The children’s playground built at the Horampella primary school in Minuwangoda has been handed over to the students under the patronage of Parliamentarian Ruwan Ranatunge.
