Sri Lanka’s Treasury bill rates decline

Sri Lanka’s Treasury bill rates fell down at the weekly auction held today with the three month tenor bill seeing the steepest decline of 37 basis points from last weeks rate of 11%.

The six month rate fell by 33 basis points to stand at 11.77% while the one year rate came down to 12.29% from the previous weeks rate of 12.48.

Central Bank which conducts the auction accepted Rs. 18.90 billion to settle Rs. 15 billion of maturing treasury bills.

The auction was oversubscribed with bids received running up to Rs. 39 billion.
