White Cane flag sale begins

The sale of flags commemorating International White Cane Day begins. The first flag has been sold to the President.
International White Cane Day will be observed on Monday. The Sri Lanka Council of Visually Handicapped Graduates has organized a programme to sell flags to mark the event. The first flag was pinned on President Rajapaksa at Temple Trees. The aim of selling flags is to raise funds for the welfare of visually impaired students. A symbolic presentation of white canes also took place today to mark International White Cane Day. The President had a cordial discussion with members of the Sri Lanka Council of Visually Handicapped Graduates.
