  • Adjudged a Great Place To Work for in Sri Lanka for two consecutive years

99X Technology’s unwavering emphasis on the creating a great workplace for its people was reiterated when it was ranked amongst Sri Lanka’s top 15 best companies to work for the second consecutive year, and is the only IT company in the country to be listed in this prestigious survey for two years running.
The company scored a hat trick when it received two ‘Special Category Awards’ in addition to the primary accolade, a concept introduced by the Great Place to Work Institute in Sri Lanka this year, which recognises best practices in organisations. The first award was for talent development in recognition of the multitude of initiatives that gives the company’s employees the opportunity to develop themselves, and it was also named best-in-class in the Small Enterprise category (50-200 employees).
“We are proud to be named a Great Place To Work for the second consecutive year, which would not have been possible if not for our foremost asset – our people,” stated 99X Technology Co-Founder and CEO Mano Sekaram when commenting on this achievement.
A total of 53 companies representing 13 sectors were analysed in this year’s survey, with feedback from over 10,000 employees taken into consideration. The study employs a unique employee-centric framework that measures the levels of pride, trust and camaraderie prevalent in an organisation through two lenses: the Trust Index Survey and the Culture Audit.
As in 2013, 99X Technology scored highly on both, and recorded excellent feedback from its employees on almost all aspects covered in the survey, which underscores the prominence the company places on good HR practices and growth opportunities for its people. 99X Technology was also lauded at the Great Place To Work awards ceremony for its ‘millennial-friendly’ work environment which encourages innovation, creativity and employee engagement.

Transparency and trust play a vital role in 99X Technology’s open culture, which offers employees a sense of belonging and greater sense of control over their professional lives. This is turn motivates them to pursue their aspirations with confidence and to relate their personal goals to organisational growth and success, which translates into concrete business benefits and greater returns.
This annual index was introduced to the country last year and is conducted by the Lankan arm of the Great Place to Work Institute, a global human resources consulting and research firm. The 15 best companies in Sri Lanka have enjoyed stellar scores which rival – and even surpass, in some areas – the global top 25 Best Places to Work For, the benchmark for this study.
99X Technology is a software engineering company that specialises in delivering high-end software product development services to independent software vendors (ISVs) worldwide, with a primary focus within the European region. Headquartered in Sri Lanka, the company is also based in Oslo, Norway and has an outstanding track record in building and delivering over 150 high quality commercial software products.
