Indian CEO Forum organises health check camp in Western Province

The Indian CEO Forum (ICF) which completed one year of its formation on 12 July 2014 announced the roll out of its plan to bring free medical aid to all sectors of society through a health check camp specifically focusing on two major silent killers – Diabetes and High Blood Pressure.
The first such camp will be held on 27 July at the ‘Lama Horuwa Pre School’, Aramangolla, Horana, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The objectives of the Indian CEO Forum is to promote and contribute to the economic growth of Sri Lanka through Indian investment, safeguard and strengthen existing economic co-operation, foster new economic ties between India and Sri Lanka, provide an open forum for the business leaders of Indian origin employed with Indian Multinationals and Sri Lankan Business/Commercial organisations in Sri Lanka. The ICF endeavors to showcase investment opportunities in Sri Lanka to potential new investors from India.
The ICF was launched in July 2013 by Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa, and was formed in recognition of the significant growth of Indian private sector investments in Sri Lanka. The ICF is a registered body and its membership is constituted by Indian investments in Sri Lanka, Indian heads of MNCs and Sri Lankan companies.
Speaking at the first AGM held recently at which the Central Bank Governor was the Chief Guest, Sanjay Tiwari, President of ICF, outlined the following focus areas for the next financial year, namely diabetes care, facilitating government efforts vis a vis attracting more foreign investment, facilitating govt effort in providing safe drinking water in areas affected by CKD, as well as facilitating greater number of tourist arrivals from India.
The first camp will be principally supported by Piramal Glass with technical support from Nawaloka Metropolis.
