Seetha Devi Sevens on 4-5 October

The Annual Seetha Devi Hockey Sevens organised by Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy will be worked off at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy on 4 and 5 October. This tournament will be held for the 20th year and will be for boys and girls schools and for men and women teams.
The following tournaments will be worked off:
Boys under-19 Tournament: The total number of teams for this tournament will be restricted to 16 and the players should be under 19 years of age. The defending champions are Vijaya College, Matale.
Girls under-19 Tournament: This tournament too will be restricted to 16 teams and the joint defending champions are the hosts Seetha Devi Girls College and Pushpadana Girls College as the finals ended in a draw.
Inter Club Men’s Championship: A total number of 16 clubs will be accommodated for this tournament and Sri Lanka Air Force are the defending champions.
Inter Club Women’s Championship: This tournament will see eight teams in the fray and last year Sri Lanka Air Force won it for the first time, ending a long spell of wins by Sri Lanka Navy.
