Rally to win ‘man power’ employees’ rights

A rally demanding the government to immediately fulfil its promise  given to 4800 ‘man power’ employees in Ceylon Electricity Board to make them permanent would be held at the open air theatre of Viharamahadevi Park on the 25th states Lanka Electricity Board Employees’ Union.

The rally is to be held chaired by the President of National Trade Union Centre (NYUC) K.D. Lal Kantha and the General Secretary of Lanka Electricity Board Employees’ Union Ranjan Jayalal.

Agitations and seminars demanding the government to make permanent ‘man power’ employees of CEB were held throughout the island. As a result the government is not in a position to avoid fulfilling the demand of ‘man power’ employees said Mr. Ranjan Jayalal adding that they would demand the government to make permanent  all ‘man power’ employees of the CEB.
