Softlogic creates history with Nokia retailer’s family tour

Nokia handphone partners in Sri Lanka, Softlogic Plc created history by sending the largest number of retailers spread within Sri Lanka to Bangkok recently.

This batch of 170 business partners is the largest number ever sponsored by a single company on an overseas tour. This was a four nights and five days tour. The criterion for selection was basically the Nokia sales they had made.
Softlogic Plc has undertaken similar tours to other destinations as well, mostly to Asian countries. Most of those tours were confined to 50-60 groups but the recent tour, which was undertaken on 17 October, features the largest team of dealers. Previous tour destinations were Malaysia, Philippines, India, China, Bali, Singapore and France
Dealers would be selected based on Nokia phone sales and the company intends undertaking tours to Australia, the US and Europe in the future. Already a tour was undertaken to France recently. No one has offered European tours so far to mobile handset retailers and the primary objective of this initiative was to appreciate the sales efforts of retailers and encourage Nokia phone sales efforts.
Softlogic Plc has been doing this for the past five to six years. These tours are scheduled to take place every three months. A tour has been planned for next year’s Cricket World Cup in Australia.
