Inter-Firm Team Badminton C’ships in full swing
The 31st annual Inter-Firm Team Badminton Championship, which is organised by the Mercantile Badminton Association (MBA), is currently underway at the newly-constructed MBA stadium and headquarters at Malalasekera Mawatha, Colombo 7.
The preliminary rounds took place from 22-23 November with a record 201 teams from the Mercantile Sector, under 22 divisions, registering for the event. Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka Ltd., through their premier brand
Dulux, will sponsor the event for the 16th consecutive year.
The final rounds will be worked off on 29 November with the grand finale taking place on 7 December, along with the awards ceremony that will commence at 3.00 p.m. under the patronage of Chief Guest Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka Ltd. Managing Director Gerald de Saram.
