Young Pakistan all rounder Hammad Azam, who was the part of inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) champions, Uva Next, has said the atmosphere in the premier Twenty20 competition was similar to that of international cricket.
The ICC World Twenty20 2012 trophies were ceremoniously accepted at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka today. The trophies arrived on board an Emirates flight from Dubai.
The first edition of the inaugural Sri Lankan Premier League (SLPL) came to an end in a rain curtained final at Colombo on August 31, with Uva Next taking the title after overcoming Nagenahira Nagas by 19 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method.
