Sri Lanka Treasuries yield flat, peg steady
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka Central Bank’s guidance peg for interbank transactions weakened by five cents on Tuesday, while yields in Treasury Bonds T-bill remain steady in dull trade, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 01. 06. 2025 closed at 28.00/28.25 percent on Friday, slightly up from 27.95/28.05 percent on Tuesday.
Three months’ bill was closed at 29.00/30 percent on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka’s central bank announced a guidance peg for interbank transactions further weakened by five cents to 361.00 rupees against the US dollar on Tuesday from 360.95 rupees.
Data showed that commercial banks offered dollars for telegraphic transfers between 368.00 and 370.00 for small transactions. (Colombo/ Aug 23/2022)
