No intention of re-introducing any fuel quota system – Kanchana

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera in a message on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) has said that the government, Ministry of Power and Energy or the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation  has not held any discussion to re-introduce the National Fuel Pass, QR system  or any quota system for fuel.

he said that the Ministry of Power and Energy, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) held a discussion to to plan for cargo requirements for the next 12 months and to increase storage capacities at CPSTL at Kolonnawa and Muthurajawela and regional depots to maintain large buffer stocks.
